Your family's smart schedule.
My Parent Radar reads your kids' grades, school posts and calendars on your iPhone, then texts each kid a short note every morning and evening, with both parents in the same chat.

What it does
Checks the school's gradebook twice a day and notices what is due, missing or newly graded.
Reads ParentSquare posts for dates, early dismissals and things to bring.
Reads your kids' and teams' calendars on your iPhone, so practices and games make it into the texts.
One for the morning, one for the evening, to your kid's group. Parent-only things go to parents only.
Kids get a home screen with today, this week and their grades. They link it by scanning a code from your phone. No account and no password. A kids' version for Apple Watch is coming soon.
Kids design the picture at the top of their app with an emoji, their initials or a photo, on the color of their choice.
One list of what only a parent can do: permission slips to sign, missing work to chase, and work due.
Add the other parent's phone with a code. They see the whole family's week.
Pick which kids and parents get texts, and which scores are worth a text.
No-school days, early dismissals, late starts and parent-teacher conferences from the District 41 and Glenbard calendars show up on each kid's week.
We make over your whole family calendar
Free for beta families. We sit down with you and redo your Google or iPhone calendar and your Skylight or Hearth wall calendar so they finally agree: a calendar for each kid in its own color, school and sports separated, team schedules hooked up, duplicates cleaned out, both parents shared in, and your wall calendar matched. Nothing gets deleted without your OK.
Your family's information stays on your phone
My Parent Radar does its work on your iPhone. Your school passwords stay there, and your kids' grades and your calendars are read there. My Parent Radar never reads your email. If you put your kids' calendars on Google, it can only see the calendars it makes. Two things pass through our server, and neither is kept: the finished text, which can mention grades, assignments and calendar events, on its way to your family's phones, and the words of school posts, with phone numbers and email addresses taken out, on their way to be read for dates. Details are in our privacy policy.
Who it is for, and how to get it
For parents of D41 and Glenbard West students, on iPhone now, with Android and a kids' Apple Watch version coming soon. The other Glenbard high schools are next. My Parent Radar is in a small, free private beta: sign up above and we'll email you the beta link. You install it through Apple's free TestFlight app and set up your family right in the app. A parent sets it up and agrees to texts for each kid, and each number starts getting texts only after it replies JOIN; kids never sign up or have accounts.
